Jenifer French was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Westerville North High School. She then attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. She went on to attend Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating cum laude, in 2001.
In 2006 Jenifer and her husband moved back to Westerville, Ohio where they are raising their three children. In 2011 Jenifer was appointed to an open seat on the Westerville City Council and successfully ran to retain her seat in 2013.
She was then appointed by her fellow Council members as Vice Mayor. After working at the Lane Alton firm for seven years as a civil litigator, Jenifer ran a contested race for a seat on the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in 2014. She was elected and began her term in February, 2015. She currently sits on the Common Pleas Court where she presides over civil and criminal cases and sits on the Criminal Law Committee and the Rules Committee.
